This is one of the best bakeries in Chicago. I have tried many, but this one is definitely in my top 3. I've tried different kinds of pastries, and all of them are just made and are amazing! My favorite one is the almond pecan. The almond filling is just out of this world. And the brownie is to die for.
The bakery made our gorgeous wedding cake and as aesthetically pleasing as it turned out, the only thing better was how delicious it was! We highly recommend the graham cracker cake, it was delectable and the fillings were amazing. Each guest raved about how delicious and light the cake was, and my husband and I can’t wait to order another smaller replica cake for us to enjoy with our family and for our anniversaries, for years to come. Tammy and each person we spoke with at the counter were warm, accommodating and paid extremely close attention to detail. For weddings, this is the ONLY bakery you should use, and make sure to stop in, in person so you can get a delicious cup of coffee and incredible desserts!
We ordered our wedding cake from Jarosch Bakery, and it was perfect! Not only did it look gorgeous, but it tasted amazing too. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the process, making everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

They did a full sheet cake for a one year old birthday party. 80 people. Cake was two layers and fresh and delicious. It was huge. More than enough for the whole party, and it was a huge hit! People were wowed by the size and decorating job. Jarosch team took plenty of time helping us plan, and they even did a custom design for our “groovy” theme, along with a small “smash” cake. Overall, a great job. I thank them, and highly recommend Jarosch’s for custom cakes and all bakery needs!
The staff are very friendly and helpful, honest regarding availability of pastries and baked goods. The handicapped parking is nonexistent, the doors aren't automatic and there's a barrier to walking into the bakery from the parking lot that's across from the bakery, poor planning on the part of the architect. The food is Great but it's a pill to get to it.
I’ve been coming here for years to get cakes for my friends and family. Last weekend, I came in to order my own cake and Laurie was so lovely to work with over the phone. Super quick and easy, brought my ideas to life. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an affordable, great tasting cake.
We got the coffee cakes for our company holiday party from Jarosch Bakery again this year, and I think they were better than ever! I cannot even imagine a more delicious coffee cake. We had the raspberry custard strip, the marzipan pretzel shaped coffee cake, and the blueberry melody coffee cake. They were all fresh and delicious with plenty of tasty filling. We also get all of our birthday cakes from here throughout the year (10-15 cakes) and they are always fresh and delicious as well (we always get the ones that are already made in the case and then have them write "Happy Birthday" on them). The staff has always been super nice to me. The bakery is older, but it's always nice and clean. I think it's charming, and I actually prefer it's traditional bakery style. And I love the way the machine wraps the string around the cake boxes. I've been coming here for years and it's always been good, but I think the new management/owners have actually improved it.
I love this small business. The employees are hard working, and the food is always delicious! The seasonal cream cake is a personal fave! I love the smell of the baked goods when you walk in. The new owners haven't changed the Jarosch tradition! Kudos to them! I have used them for work events and for personal events, and everyone ALWAYS asks where the pastry or cake came from!
This bakery shop has been opened for a very long time. This is a new location. It’s not far from the previous location but the interior is much more modern. So, it attracts more people. It’s quite busy. You have to pick up the number outside the shop before ordering inside. There are variety filling and topping of donuts and cookies. We got custard, chocolate custard, blueberry and raspberry cream donuts. They are all good and not too sweet.
